About Me
Hi, I am Nick Arkell and I provide DJ services for venues across Altrincham, Hale, Sale and beyond. I have previously worked with Altrincham Football Club, Slug and Lettuce, The Block and Gasket, Ringway golf Club and Manchester Town Hall to name a few.
My clients have varied over the past decade with some wanting a DJ for their company Christmas party / do and others being families just wanting to celebrate a special birthday. I have provided the sound, lighting and DJ service for 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th birthdays along with few in between like a sweet 16th! Some people have asked for themed nights that focus specifically on a particular genre of the music like Soul and Motown, 70s, 80s, 90s and dance / house music. The venue is your choice as I will travel to your party. I have played music to crowds in nightclubs, bars, pubs, British Legions, railway clubs, village halls, company clubs, hotels, casinos and even a few client homes for NYE / new year's eve.
Do you want a DJ who interacts with your guests and enjoys their job? I mix and merge tracks together like any proper DJ should and play what I think the crowd wants while sticking with any guidelines you have provided. If you say no Taylor Swift, no Taylor Swift will be played!
High quality sound system and lighting
If required, I can bring a premium quality German-designed sound system that not only sounds crisp but also looks the part. In addition to that, my lighting is all computer controlled so if you want the dancefloor to be illuminated completely in orange for a moment or maybe a multi-coloured strobe to make you feel like you are in Ibiza, that can be done. I can also project logos or messages on the walls, dancefloor or moving around the room. You may refer to the setup as a mobile disco but things have moved on from the old light boxes seen 20 years ago!
Wedding DJ
For weddings, it is important that the entertainment is organised with the same level of thought as other elements on the day. Many people focus all their time, effort and money on getting the ceremony and food right but forget that the evening is where the most people are likely to be! Do you want your guests to have an enjoyable night, dancing to the music that suits your particular taste? I offer each and every couple I have worked with the opportunity to sit down and discuss how they want me to entertain their guests. You only get married once so I want to make sure my part in that day puts a smile on everybody's face at the end of the night. If you have an idea, tell me about it. One groom who happened to be an excellent Elvis impersonator wanted to sing at his own wedding so we made that happen!
